Winter Garden

603 Main Street Winter Garden

Spanning 6,000sqft, the Coastal/Key West building is located in 603 Main Street in Winter Garden, Florida, accommodates three expansive spaces, thoughtfully outfitted with ADA-compliant amenities to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all users.

Collaborating with D and D Construction Services of Orlando, and  team of Engineers and Architects at A Civil Design Group, where I worked as an architectural associate involved in conceptualization, design development, technical drawing details and materials selections to produce the distinctive exterior design of the building.

To accentuate the Coastal/Key West aesthetic, we integrated standing seam metal roofs to complement the light-cream exterior paint color, added board and batten cladding wrapped around the exterior, and black craftsman-style doors and windows with Bahama shutters and craftsman-style columns.

Jollibee, Pinellas Park

The property is situated centrally and advantageously in Pinellas Park, Florida, within an urban environment that offers convenient access to amenities for visitors, tourists and local residents.

The 8,400sqft modern/contemporary style building was completed in December 2019 and is partitioned into three open and spacious units, offering tenants the ability to customize their interior layouts to accommodate their commercial requirements.

The exterior of the building was conceptualized, designed and constructed with a team of Engineers and Architects at ‘A Civil Design Group’, where I contributed as an architectural staff and associate, worked through conceptualization, design development and technical details, completing the working set for building and construction.

The project was completed in collaboration  with Belleair Development Group LLC, who was responsible for the property site location and Camburas & Theodore LTD, who was responsible for the interior design fit-out, selections and materials for one of the building tenants, Jollibee, a Filipino fast food chain.

The exterior of the building aimed for a modern contemporary design tailored to the  community. This involved incorporating aluminum canopies surrounding the front facade and sides, utilizing natural-colored stone, and integrating light stucco paint colors, wood textures and fabric canopies to soften the aesthetic.

To enhance the modern appearance, large storefront windows and doors were installed and tall ceilings incorporated, ensuring ample natural light makes its way into the interior spaces. The fast-food chain restaurant, Jollibee, offers a drive-thru service for easy access and convenience to the customers.

The site boasts ample parking to enhance the ease of traffic and flow of both pedestrians and vehicles.

I, as a full Filipina, had the honor to incorporate my childhood favorite Filipino restaurant “Jollibee” into our designs, right here in 4045 N Blvd, Pinellas Park, Florida!

My role as an architectural staff at A Civil Design Group in Spring Hill was exciting and challenging. For over a year I was with the firm, I have learned so much working with Architect Larry Young and Engineer Richard Matassa, who have taught me about architectural and structural building codes. With their guidance -  not only I draw and sketch as an architect, but I also think as an engineer. (if you’re going to use this line, please quote/credit me ;)

I also taught myself how to use Revit - and oh boy I could only imaging the time I spent day and night learning the wonders of the Revit world, that towards the end, I put myself in Revit class and got a certification!

This 3D rendering image of Pinellas Park building is from Revit’s technical details, imported to a rending software called TwinMotion, and enhanced in Photoshop.

This is - I dare say - one of my first Revit projects.

And the rest was history.
